  • In a two-quart casserole, with a tight-fitting lid, make layers of each of these ingredients:.
  • 1. Rice.
  • 2. Corn.
  • 3. Salt and pepper and half the can of tomato sauce, plus 3/4 cup water.
  • 4. Onion and green pepper.
  • 5. Ground beef or turkey.
  • 6. Salt and pepper, the remaining half of the tomato sauce and 1/2 cup water.
  • 7. Bacon.
  • Cover and bake in a preheated 350-degree oven for 1 hour. Uncover and bake about 30 additional minutes or until the bacon is crisp.
