This is good with pork as well as turkey. The black pepper sounds strange but is a great addition. From a friend in Louisiana.

  1. Combine all the ingredients in a heavy saucepan.
  2. Cook the mixture over medium heat, stirring continually to dissolve sugar.
  3. After the sugar is dissolved, increase heat to high and boil for 3 minutes.
  4. Transfer the chutney to a serving bowl and cool.
