This is a fun recipe to try! A different dessert, but yummy! As in another review, I don't let the chocolate cool completely (how can you wait!)Thanks!

This recipe is crazy fantastic. After melting the chocolate and adding the milk, I only let it cool long enough til I have all the other ingredients in the blender and add the warm chocolate mixture. What happens is when this mixture hits the ice and blends you have teeny tiny pieces of chocolate suspended in the frozen hot chocolate. This happened by accident, but my whole family thinks it's even better than the original!

I recently saw Serendipity III on Food Tv and they showed this Frozen Hot Chocolate. I instantly hit Recipe_Zarr to see if there was a clone recipe, I was plesently surprised not only to find a recipe but the actual recipe from Serendipity's chef. The recipe calls for store bought hot cocoa mix, but I didn't have any. I used a recipe from Alton Brown for Hot Cocoa mix http://www.foodnetwork.com/food/recipes/recipe/0,1977,FOOD_9936_17908,00.html Also I don't have a double boiler, so I used a small steel mixing bowl placed in a medium sauce pan. The previous review below stated that this is to much work, and one can go to $tarbucks and get a similar drink, but I've never had a drink at $tarbucks, that was this rich and delicious. It may take a bit of work but it's well worth the effort. If you love to cook and love chocolate as much as I do, then you owe it to your self to at least try this drink once.
