Sensational Strawberry Summer Trifle

  • Break up sponge fingers into a large bowl and scatter over the strawberries.
  • Mix sherry and orange juice and drizzle over spongefingers and strawberries.
  • Leave to soak for 15 minutes.
  • Beat the mascarpone, then gradually beat in the custard.
  • Spoon the custard mix over the sponge, scatter over a few strawberries and the crumbled flake and serve! (I usually let it set in the fridge for an hour or two).
  • You can use any of your favrout berries for example:gooseberries, blueberries or make a mix of different berries.
  • You can make individual deserts by making the trifle in glasses or small desert bowls.
  • I've used orange flavoured Flake before and it works like a charm! Yummy!
