OMG!!! Thank you so very much! I was a child of the CPS! I ate one of these at least once a week from Kindergarten thru High School. I've had the recipe before and lost it 10 or so years ago. I'm so happy I found it again! I've inhaled 4 already and my inner demons are fighting with one another wether or not to have more! Thank you again!

This makes big 4-inch cookies that seem to large until you start to eat it. They are the perfect butter cookie. Had a little dough left so I made mini cookies [2"] with my tiny cookie drop and pressed down with my thumb. I froze some and they can be eaten right out of the freezer. Yummy cookies !

This cookie was amazing! It took me back to my freshman year when i first had these cookies. I used a good european butter and instead of 3 1/2 cups of all purpose flour(i was short 1/2 a cup) i used 3 cups of AP flour and subsituted 2 tbls. of cake flour and 2 tbls. bread flour for he 1/2cup of flour. I dont know if thats what made these cookies amazing but they were buttery, slighlty sweet, tender and crunchy. You will be pleasantly suprised by this recipe. Best butter cookie i have ever had.

My mom rated this a 3 stars but me and my step-dad thought 4. A little too buttery for us and not as soft as we had hoped. They burned a bit with the cook time indicated. Made for Pick a Chef tag game!
