  1. In a large pan, fry the bacon pieces until browned and crisp.
  2. Add the hominy, salt and pepper and cook stirring constantly 6-7 minutes.
  3. Add green onions and continue cooking for 5 minutes.
  4. Serve immediately.

The bacon definitely makes the hominy much more tasty.

WOW!!!! I think I actually went back for 4ths!!! Finally a veggie that DH and I can both agree on. 2 yr old DD was not a big fan but I don't think she cares for hominy in the first place. This is a once-a-week side for us now.

Gotta love it! How can you go wrong with bacon AND hominy. Glad I found something that wasn't posole. My husband is beginning to enjoy hominy as much as I do and pairing hominy with the bacon did so much. Thanks for the great post.
