Secret Kisses

"My mom has been baking this cookie for longer then I can remember. We no longer know where the recipe came from."

• Ingredients: 8
• Yields: 3 dozon cookies

ingredients

• 1 cup butter
• 1⁄2 cup powdered sugar
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 2 1⁄4 cups flour
• 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
• 1⁄2 cup nuts, finely chopped (I like peanuts the best)
• 1 package chocolate Hershey chocolate kiss
• 1⁄2 cup powdered sugar

directions

1. Heat oven to 400 degrees.
2. Mix butter, 1/2 cup powdered sugar and vanilla. Mix in flour, salt, and nuts until dough holds together.
3. Shape dough into balls around the chocolate kisses (should be about 1 inch).
4. Place about 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
5. Bake until set but not brown, about 10-12 minutes.
6. Roll in powdered sugar while still warm.
7. Allow to cool completely and roll in powdered sugar again.
