We kept saying, as we were stuffing our mouths with this wonderful bird, "You know, I didn't expect this to taste so good". Unusual in the best sense of the word, & how nice to not have falling-apart drippy chicken from a crock. Very cool recipe. Bless you for posting it.

Sorry, but did not think this recipe was any thing special at all. The chicken did not brown as stated, however it was tender and moist. No particular distinguishing flavor and definitely will not make again

I think that this dish might have worked out better for us if I browned the chicken first before putting it in the crockpot. Partly because the chicken didn't brown and there is no sauce to cover it up,the chicken seemed more like boiled chicken than chicken cooked in an oven. However I will be using the leftovers for chicken salad.

I used rosemary instead of tarragon and maybe this is why I rated it a 4 instead of a 5. This was good but I have the feeling the tarragon would be better. Thats what it will be next time.

I was really looking forward to this, since I love crockpot cooking and thought the ingredients sounded great. The chicken smelled great, and it tasted good, but oddly enough...it came out dry. That was a real shock. I might try it again with a few modidifications, and if it's moister I'll rerate.

I have made chicken in the crockpot before, and it always falls apart and turns into a big mess of bird. The little trick with the foil balls prevented this from happening. We enjoyed this recipe, although the flavour was really nothing special. I think next time I will add some additional spices and prehaps some additional garlic.
