Yes, this recipe calls for uncooked eggs. You can use egg substitute if you like instead. In Norway they eat this for breakfast and dessert all the time.

I made this dish on Saturday afternoon. I was thinking that it would be "fluffy", but realized that with the yolks included that it would not be. I used a hand mixer with the whisk attachment for 5 minutes, then refrigerated for a bit. and then whipped it again for another 4 minutes until it was 'frothy'. It is somewhat of a very loose custard consistency. The flavor of the 'creamed sauce' over the berries (I used halved strawberries) was excellent. I kept tasting through-out the blending process. Hubby was somewhat afraid to eat it because of the raw egg. But here it is... early Monday morning... and neither of us had a problem! LOL. This was delicious as a 'before dinner dessert'. P.S. I had a tad bit of the sauce left over and just popped it in the fridge. It was still good to go (and thicker) on Sunday morning... just had to give it a quick whipping. We enjoyed this very much. Thank you for sharing. (Made for PRMR).
