Seasoned Baked Potatoes

"From the Comfort Food Diet cookbook of Taste of Home. This recipe was a real hit with DH. He ate 2 potatoes and a half from this recipe. He went 3 times to take another piece. LOL"

  1. Absolutely wonderful! I used Yukon Golds, and used onion powder and sea salt, as well as a good grind of black pepper. Crisp on the outside, light and creamy on the inside, and completely delicious throughout! Thanks for posting!

  2. I love this unique way of making a baked potato! I made this exactly as posted, except I used onion powder, then added salt and pepper. I used russet baking potatoes. I will definitely try this again, playing around with the seasonings. Thanks for sharing.

  3. Wonderfully flavorful potatoes, these! Instead of the onion salt, I too used a little onion powder, then a pinch of salt along with a bit of lemon pepper (along with the other indicated ingredients, of course)! Easy as could be to prepare, & great eating! [Made & reviewed in the current ADOPT A TAG event]

  4. Great potato side dish with a burst of flavor. The only thing I would change next time is reducing the amount of olive oil and adding some salt & pepper (maybe even a salt/pepper/garlic seasoning). The potato itself is soft and fluffy with the skins have that nice crisp texture. Glad I found this tag in I Recommend tag game.

  5. These were good, and I made them as directed. Next time I'll use a bit of butter, in place of the olive oil, as it is only a small amount and the flavor boost would be great! Also, I used onion powder and garlic powder, but salt and pepper are needed, too. (I sprinkled on after..) The basil gives a nice flavor, and an otherwise boring potato dish is made snazzy AND quickly! Thanks for sharing a great side dish, Boomette!
