  1. So Good I have to make it every holiday now. I added baby shrimp to the crabmeat. Can't go wrong.

  2. I made this the second time now,and it was a hit!I also used Mozza,it seems the right flavor. Mixed some lemon and Herb spice mix into the cream cheese layer.Did omit the tomatoes,I had to make this a day ahead. This will be a standby in my house, thanks for posting.

  3. Deserves more than 5 stars! I made this today as part of my appetizers for Thanksgiving. I have tried making shrimp dip in the past and wasn't happy with how heavy it seemed (it was just the standard cream cheese, cocktail sauce, and shrimp layered type). This has more layers and textures going on to add to the depth of flavor. I really liked that the bottom layer wasn't so dense as cream cheese alone would have been. I ended up using a whole 12oz bottle of cocktail sauce and Bumble Bee brand canned baby shrimp. I also took roxanne's suggestion of using mozzarella cheese instead of cheddar. Spread it in a 9x13 size cake pan because I didn't have an platters. It looked very pretty and was served with crackers, celery sticks, and carrots for dipping. My MIL enjoyed it so much that she requested I print her a copy of the recipe to use for an upcoming holiday party she's hosting. Thanks so much for posting, MizzNezz!!! I'll definitely be making this again...

  4. This is very similar to my hubby's grandmother's recipe, a definite winner. Only thing I do differently is I use mozzarella cheese instead of cheddar. Also great with a bottle of Frank's Red Hot on the side! Thanks for posting this.

After DH and I moved away from the farm, and to the city...I haven't done as much cooking and very little canning. But I do come to Zaar and look for new recipes once in a while. I'm still cooking Zaar!! I like to play at Facebook, with my family and friends. A lot of my Zaar friends are there!! Yay! It's a good way to keep in touch. We travel more. We're looking at the European trips now. Hope to go in the springtime. I really want to see London, I think I lived there in a past life, I've been obsessed with it since I was 10 years old!!
