I added extra lemon over the scallops at serving time. These were excellent served with lemon rice and a fresh salad. Thanks!
This gets 5 stars for simplicity and quick prep time! I enjoyed this recipe, the scallops were cooked perfectly and picked up just a hint of flavor from the sauce. Next time I think I will add some fresh herbs and maybe more garlic, but this is a good dish to highlight the flavor of fresh sea scallops.
We had this for dinner a few days ago. Very tasty, easy and perfect for some huge diver scallops I had in the freezer. I served with some spaghetti and a salad. Would not change a thing. Thank you for posting. Will make again.
An excellent recipe, but to put more volume into it I addres 1/2 pound of whioe buton mushrooms, quartered, that I fried with the green onions. This does not take away from the flavor of the scallops but dose help making a larger serving.
Simple and delicious!
This is the first time I've ever had scallops, let alone fixed. But DH loves them and has been requesting them for some time. I chose this one for it's ease of making and served it with Spanish Quinoa made for a lovely dinner. The light sauce set off the scallops just right, and a squeeze of the lemon gave it such a fresh taste.
Excellent! I did season the scallops first with Santa Maria seasoning, granulated garlic and a little smoked kosher salt. I was leery the salt may toughen the scallops, but they were perfect. I used a heavy Calaphon skillet with the burner on 8 but I quickly reduced it to 6, then 4, then 2, and the butter browned perfectly for me on those settings. I did add halved mushrooms with the scallops for my husband. I forgot to add the cayenne and didn't miss it, but I did add a little pepper at the end and I probably added an extra tablespoon of wine, since I just poured some in. This was an easy recipe, quite versatile if you wanted to add herbs or extra garlic, a definite repeat for us! It would be good with either rice or pasta to take advantage of the sauce, since it's just too yummy to waste!
