Scrompcios Brown Sugar Cookies

"They are soooooooooooo good! They melt in your mouth, and I add sprinkles. You can use shortning, to make it light and fluffy."

• Yields: 40 cookies
• Serves: 20

ingredients

• 1⁄2 cup butter
• 1⁄2 cup sugar
• 1⁄2 cup brown sugar
• 1 egg
• 3⁄4 cup buttermilk (I use 1/4 cup cream, and 1/2 cup milk)
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 2 cups flour
• 1⁄2 teaspoon baking soda
• 1⁄2 teaspoon salt

directions

1. Preheat oven to 400F.
2. Cream together the butter, sugar, and brown sugar. Mix in egg, than the buttermilk and vanilla.
3. Combine the flour, baking soda and salt, with the wets.
4. Chill dough for one hour.
5. Put mixture in small piles on baking sheet, and cook for nine minute.
