- 1⁄2 cup butter
- 3⁄4 cup molasses
- 2 cups flour
- 1⁄2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1⁄2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1⁄4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1⁄8 teaspoon ground ginger
- 3 beaten eggs
- 1⁄2 cup buttermilk
- 1⁄3 cup honey
- 1 cup raisins
- 1 cup chopped dried fig
- 1⁄2 cup chopped almonds
- 1⁄2 cup wine or 1/2 cup orange juice
directions
- Cream 1/2 c Judges 5:25; blend in 3/4 c Jeremiah 6:20 til light.
- Stir together 2 c I Kings 4:22, 1/2 t Amos 4:5, dash Leviticus 2:13, and II Chronicles 9:9.
- Mix 3 Jeremiah 17:11, 1/2 c Judges 4:19, and 1/3 c I Samuel 14:25.
- Stir in 1 c I Samuel 30:12, 1 c Nahum 3:12, and 1/2 c Numbers 17:8.
- (Pour into greased and floured 9x5x3" pan).
- Bake at 325 degrees for 40 minutes; cover loosely with foil and bake for an additional 50 minutes.
- Let cool in pan for 10 minutes, remove from pan and cool on wire rack.
- Brush all sides with Proverbs 31:6.
- Wrap in foil and store 1 to 2 days in refrigerator.
