Directions

  1. Cream shortening with a fork into the 1/4 cup of boiling water.
  2. Mix and sift the flour, salt, and baking powder.
  3. Add the mixture to the shortening slowly.
  4. Blend well.
  5. Form into a ball and refrigerate until ready to use. .
  6. Yield = 1 pastry shell.
