The dough is easy to work with. I like the flavor of these cookies though they are a bit on the dry side.

Have had this recipe passed my way years and years ago as well, seeing the reviews on your recipe had me make this wonderful shortbread for the holidays. Have to agree with your previous reviewers this is a fantastic shortbread recipe. Made as posted and wouldn't change a thing. Thank you Dotty for sharing, your recipes have been real winners here - this terrific shortbread has been added to my Holiday Cookbook.

10/10 for this one! If you're wondering how they turn out... How about almost identical the walkers brand. Easy to make and results are outstanding.

I rated this recipe a year ago and gave it five stars. However, when I went to print this recipe so I could once again make these cookies I could not believe only one other person had made and rated this fantastic shortbread recipe. They are a wonderful melt-in-your mouth cookie and I highly recommend this recipe to everyone. P.S. They even taste good frozen!!

I wish that I could give you 10 * for this recipe. I have searched for years for what I would consider a perfect shortbread recipe, and finally found it here! I made these last year and can't believe that I didn't review! sorry about that! These are pretty easy to make, I rolled mine out and used Christmas shape cutters. I also dipped about half of them into melted chocolate...yum! This has become my fail proof shortbread recipe after MANY failure! Thanks Dotty2!
