These were wonderful! I've been looking for a not-too-weet breakfast cookie, and I think this one is it. I did substitute wheat germ for 1/2 cup of the oats, and next time I might add a bit of cinnamon. My taste-testers at work raved about them.
I made these with 3 c oats, 1/2 c dried apricots because I didn't have cherries & 1/2 c walnuts--no pecans--to lower fat content some. Also used skim milk. These came out very nice--I like the fact that they're not overwhelmingly sweet, but if you like sweeter I imagine you could up the amount of sugar.
These we're pretty good even though I omitted the dried fruit. I think I'll experiment with this one. Cheers Rod.
