I came across this recipe and just had to post it! Drambuie was first commercially bottled in Edinburgh in 1909. The original royal spirit was enjoyed by Bonnie Prince Charlie in 1745. Refreshing and fruity taste – a great way to enjoy Drambuie as a long fruity drink. I got this from Drambuie's website. Enjoy!

Ingredients Nutrition

  • 1 12 ounces drambuie
  • 3 ounces cloudy apple juice
  • soda water
  • lime
  • apple, slices (to garnish)

Directions

  1. Pour Drambuie and cloudy apple juice over ice. Top up with soda and add a squeeze of lime. Garnish with apple slices.
  2. For an alternative, add 1 part Drambuie and 2 parts apple juice with a float of Chardonnay.

I might have initially rated this a 4. Then the ice started to melt and really smoothed it out and it became really, really good. I love Drambuie, so I would imagine I would like most cocktails with it as the major ingredient. Not sure what cloudy apple juice is. I used Spartan 100% apple juice and this seemed to work just fine. Thanks, Vicki! Made for ZWT6.

Yum! I made the first version but made it into a martini because my freezer is broken and I have no ice, lol. Really smooth and goes down easy. Thanks Nif for a nice treat. Made by an Unruly Under the Influence for ZWT6.
