"this crisp, thick and buttery cookie is an old delicacy from scotland."

• Ingredients: 3
• Yields: 12-24 depends on size of shapes

ingredients

• 3⁄4 cup butter, softened
• 1⁄4 cup sugar
• 2 cups flour

directions

1. cream together the butter and sugar.
2. work the flour in with your hands.
3. chill.
4. roll the dough to 1/3- 1/2 inch thick.
5. cut into desired shapes.
6. place on ungreased baking sheet and bake in a 350f preheated oven for 20-25 minutes.
7. (the tops will not brown.).

I found it very crumbly and wont hold shape. The recipe didn't say how long to chill but I chilled it for about an hour...not sure if that was what went wrong???
