This is a thick, white garlic sauce that's commonly served on schwarma. I found the recipe in a cookbook published by my husband's grandmother's Armenian Orthodox church. The sauce is tastiest and most authentic when made with potatoes, but white bread will also work and is often more convenient.
- 1⁄4 cup water
- 5 -10 garlic cloves
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 5 slices white bread, crusts removed or
- 1 cup mashed potatoes
- Add ingredients to a blender in the order listed. Blend until smooth.
