1. These were good! I used Cardamom in it. They were good with just butter on them as well as with syrup. These were easy to make. I will be making these again and try them with fresh fruit. Thanks for sharing your recipe.

2. My 5-year old daughter and I made these for brunch and ate them with a variety of spreads (mostly jams) and they were very good. I thought they had enough sweetness and mild flavor that they could be dusted with powdered sugar and eaten alone.

3. Excellent waffles. I found them a bit hard to remove from the waffle iron as they were a softer type waffle. They were very creamy in flavor and paired well with fresh fruit and whipped cream. Thank you for sharing your recipe!

4. These are easy and yummy. I tried them as a desert with ice cream and lingonberry sauce...yum. I did try a bite of them with maple brandy syrup and thought they went better with the fruit topping. Thanks!!

5. I have had these marked to make for quite some time. I finally got around to making and enjoying these wonderful waffles. Instead of sour cream, I used homemade yogurt. They make the perfect amount for 2 and will go into my Then There Were 2 Cookbook. They do require slightly longer cooking time than the waffles I am use to making. I topped them off with lingonberry spread for a delicious breakfast treat.

Tweaks

1. These are awesome! I was out of milk so this recipe was perfect. I used vanilla yogurt instead of sour cream! Double yum-mo. There was a tiny bit of sticking, just a little, but was easily remedied with a spatula. Love these waffles!!!!

I'm the mother to two boys (Yaron °2002, Noah °2004) and I am happily married since 2000. I work as an administrative assistant in a primary school. I have liked cooking since I was a little girl, strangely enough, my mother never really enjoyed cooking, so I don't know where I am getting it from. Cooking is really taking a break for me (at least of my two boys will leave me to it). I try to involve my kids as much as possible in cooking and they already enjoy making cookies, cakes and popsicles. I like to bake so when it's their birthday I let them choose their favourite cake. This year I made a pirate ship for the youngest one and a treasure chest for my oldest. I am active in my children's school and I like to craft when there's time left, which isn't too much lately. Every night before I go to bed, I need to read at least a chapter in a book. It has become such a ritual that it is hard to sleep when I haven't. I do have quite a few cookbooks, but the ones I would miss the most if I'ld lost them (even if I don't make that much recipes out of them) are my great grandmothers cookbooks, which are partly just little pieces of paper with a recipe scribbled onto it. I also really like the cookbooks and tv-shows of Jamie Oliver and Nigela Lawson. I really like the countryside, even if I don't really live in it. (I live in a suburb of Bruges) My dream is to one day buy a small little farmhouse with just a few animals and a beautiful garden, where I could grow some veggies to can in summer. Well, one can dream can we... My pet peeves are agressive drivers, people who don't take others into consideration and who are selfish. <embed src="http://lilgreenpatch.com/fb/greentrees/badge/badge.swf?badgeId=593493549,0" quality="high" salign="lt" width="130" height="160" wmode="transparent" name="LGP" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer"/> </embed> <a href="http://lilgreenpatch.com/fb/greentrees/badge/badgelanding.php?badgeId=593493549,0&src=1" > <img src="http://greenpatch.s3.amazonaws.com/clear.gif" border="0" height="160" width="130" bgcolor="#00FF66"/> </a> <a href="http://www.TickerFactory.com/"> <img border="0" src="http://tickers.TickerFactory.com/ezt/d/4;10748;127/st/20080628/e/Going+to+Bretagne%2C+France/k/32aa/event.png"></a> <a href="http://lilypie.com"><img src="http://b5.lilypie.com/yoQbp1.png" alt="Lilypie 5th Birthday Ticker" border="0" /></a> <a href="http://lilypie.com"><img src="http://by.lilypie.com/3lmnp2.png" alt="Lilypie 6th to 18th Ticker" border="0" /></a> <a href="http://daisypath.com"><img src="http://dn.daisypath.com/i2lqp2.png" alt="DaisypathAnniversary Years Ticker" border="0" width="400" height="80" /></a> <a href="http://www.maploco.com/view.php?id=2025848">You are now marked on my visitor map!</a><a href="http://www.maploco.com/view.php?id=2025848"><img border=0 src="http://www.maploco.com/vmap/2025848.png" alt="Visitor Map"></a><a href="http://www.maploco.com/">Create your own visitor map!</a> Participation & Awards: <a href="http://s182.photobucket.com/albums/x11/texacorw/March%202008/?action=view¤t=thelorikeets.gif" target="_blank"><img src="http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x11/texacorw/March%202008/thelorikeets.gif" border="0" alt="March Aussie Tag Badge"></a> <img src="http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y53/DUCHESS13/ZaarWorldTourPartBanner.gif" alt="Image hosted by Photobucket.com"> <img src="http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y53/DUCHESS13/World%20Tour/ZWT2.gif"> <img src="http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y53/DUCHESS13/Zaar%20World%20Tour%203/ZWT3-Participation.gif"> <img src="http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/susied214/projects/200_PACpic.jpg" border="0" alt="Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket"> <img src="http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/susied214/projects/pacbanner.jpg" border="0" alt="Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket"> <img src=http://i135.photobucket.com/albums/q138/mswarzie/banner2.gif> <img src="http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/susied214/permanent%20collection/PAC08Main.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"> <img src="http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/susied214/permanent%20collection/adoptedspring08.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket">
