I baked a ham awhile ago and haven't been in to review this recipe until now. It was a great side with our ham and scalloped potatoes! I actually slightly toasted some nutty whole wheat bread that was on the stale side but wanted it even more dried so it wouldn't be soggy. This resulted in a great sweet fruity side dish that went well with our ham!

great recipe, i let my bread get a little stale by leaving it out for an 1 hour before i make the recipe. this usually makes the end results less soggy. i also use a firm whole wheat bread, a little more nutritious and also adds a nutty taste.

This was a breeze to make, and tasted great with ham. It was a little mushy, but that could be because I used frozen white bread that had to thaw before i chopped it. I served it directly on slices of ham...saved me from having to glaze it!thank you!

I have made this recipe for years, but lost it. I went to Food.com and there it is. This has happened many times and I as grateful for it. This recipe (we always called it "pineapple thing") is the best side dish to have with ham. I have always gotten compliments Thanks for posting!
