This is a good dish to serve as a side, a salad, or a dessert. Serve it hot or cold. My grandmother used to make a dish similar to this, so I thought it must be a southern thing.

Ingredients Nutrition

  2. Stir in chunk pineapple.
  3. Spoon into casserole dish and cook, uncovered, 1 1/2 hours at 350 deg.

  5. Serve hot or cold as a casserole, or as dessert with ice cream.

I had this at a potluck and loved it. However, they sprinkled some dried cranberries on top and it added some color and great taste.

I used to always make this as a side dish at Thanksgiving . . . skipped a year then lost the recipe . . . I was SO glad to find it here. This is the perfect accompaniment to turkey or ham. Delicious!
