    Meanie Queenie's Note:

This is a recipe I got from a former co-worker. Everyone at the potluck lunch devoured the apples and wanted the recipe. It is very rich and it's definitely not low fat but for an occasional treat or for the holidays, it's fantastic. It can be served as dessert or as a side dish. ENJOY!!!

I made this for Easter dinner with ham and roasted chicken and everyone loved it. I cut the sugar down a wee bit and it was still delish! Grams called it an apple 'filling' and I think that was a good description too.

Ooh, this was so yummy! I added a tsp of cinnamon and 1/2 tsp freshly ground nutmeg to the "batter", so this smelled like heaven as it baked. I used 4 Gala apples, peels left on, and sliced. Mine did not come out pudding-like, it was more the consistency of apple cobbler, and very very tasty. I'll definitely be making this again. Thanks! :)
