Savoury Lamb Chops by June

This was my Mums recipe and one that my Brother and I grew up on. Mum use to marinate the chops but I'm really not sure for how long. I haven't taken this into consideration for prep times.

Were do I start, delicious. I used lamb loin chops (9 at 780 grams total weight) which fitted snuggly into my baking dish and took 1 1/2 hours to cook at which point I turned them (as the top looked a little dry), covered in foil and lowered temperature to 60 degree C while I finished off the sides. The gravy/sauce that comes from this dish is just out of the world, make sure you have plenty of mash and/or bread with your sides of some greens to give a balanced meal. I served 3 tonight with this amount. Thank you Jewelies for an easy and delectable recipe. Made as a recipenapp for Aussie/Kiwi Swap #18 July 2008.

  1. Preheat oven to 140°C.
  2. Place meat in an oven dish.
  3. Mix rest of ingredients and pour over.
  4. Cover dish and bake in slow oven for 2 hours.
