With dried herbs this is an easy way to get great seasoned steaks!
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon basil
- 1 tablespoon thyme
- 2 teaspoons marjoram
- 1 teaspoon rosemary, crushed
- 3⁄4 teaspoon oregano
- 1⁄2 teaspoon cayenne
- Combine all and rub into about 4 steaks.
- Great for grilling or broiling.
I wanted to add a "little something" to perk up my steaks,so I had this in my cookbook and thought I would give it a try.It was pretty good, except to me it had just a little too much of thyme,so if I make this again I will cut back on that item just a little. Thanks for posting.
I cut this back for one steak - GREAT! I panfried a filet steak, I rubbed it with this spice mixture, then let it sit for a couple of hours with the mixture well rubbed into it, and it was perfect. Very nice blend of spices. Thanks Kaarin for a lovely dinner
This made a nice flavorful rub. I cut back on the cayenne, using a littel less than 1/4 tsp. I can't handle much heat:yummy:
