I love using this sauce over broiled chicken breast...which alone can be rather dry. It dressed up fish also. I usually triple the recipe because it can blend into other recipes...and it freezes well!
- 8 ounces tomato sauce
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1⁄2 teaspoon fresh garlic, finely minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1⁄2 teaspoon dry mustard
- cayenne pepper
- Mix everything in a microwave-safe bowl.
- Heat until hot, stopping to stir once.
- You could use garlic powder if fresh is not available.
