These are very good. I used part 2% milk and part reduced fat buttermilk. (Buttermilk makes every baked good better!) I also increased the bacon a little, because I had 6 slices left. I might make this again with slightly less baking powder and do drop biscuits instead. They were very good but a little bit fluffy. My husband wanted something just a little denser and chewier. I may also have mixed them a little too much.

The muffins have been out the oven for 30 mins and there are only 4 left. Really a lovely recipe!

Very good taste but mine stuck like crazy to sprayed aluminum pans, so be careful of that. Next time I would try them in silicone pans.

These were REALLY good and easy, light. We did double the cheese and they still needed a little more. I think next time we will try extra sharp cheese. But we are all cheese-aholics in thise house, so... YUM!

I made a double recipe of these for a bake sale. Of course I tried one before hand. I ate half while it was still warm, yummy and half after they had cooled to room temperature. It was also very good. These were easy to put toghether and offered a savory alternative to usual bake sale fare. I did reduce the sugar by 1/2 TBS (1 TBS for the double recipe). Thanks PanNan

This was so easy...way too easy!!! Everyone loved them. I only added a teaspoon of sugar after reading the reviews...and i made 6 muffins in a jumbo muffin pan... the time was only increased by about 5 minutes... these were wonderful!

Mine turned out really well, I added some sourcream with wholegrain mustard, used spring onion instead of chives and didn't put in any sugar at all and they were delicious! Thanks!

Wonderful recipe! So easy....and to make it even easier, and leaner, I used chopped ham instead of bacon! I will make these again, delicious!!

I've made this recipe twice already and realized that I had forotten to review it. This is wonderful for a quick "on the go" breakfast. I didn't have thick cut bacon so I used more slices of regular bacon. I think that these would be great with a nice hearty soup if they last through the day. Thank you for posting this recipe!

Excellent Savoury muffins but extremely greasy!! Ahh!!! I was worried they would mess up my oven cos grease or sumthin was just bubbling all around the muffins.......Maybe its cos I used Streaky Bacon? I have no idea. But the kitchen smelt heavenly when I was making the muffins. Thanks!

What can I say but incredible. I whipped these up for lunch to have with a bowl of vegetable soup. I only had the cheese that is already shredded that you can buy for nachos. Next time I will use cheddar, but other than that I would not change a thing. I didn't find them sweet and I loved the bacon and chive flavor. DH loved them and said I could make them anytime. Thank you for posting PanNan.

Made these for a work breakfast - Delicious!! I cut up the bacon and fried it with some finely chopped onion & red capsicum (pepper) and 1 glove of garlic. I added about 1 teaspoon of sugar. These are easy to make, instructions are easy to follow & we found them very tasty. Thanks PanNan - I can't wait to make them again.

I made these to add to the kids lunch boxes - hehe 1/2 an hour after they came out of the oven there are two left. I didn't change a thing in this recipe, though next time I will leave the sugar out - just personal preference I guess. Thanks PanNan!!

I thought these were ok. Too sweet and kind of plain. They would probably be good as a side dish with soup or eggs, but in my opinion, they don't stand well alone. If I make them again, I will use half the sugar and twice as much bacon.
