Simple, fast, cheap side dish. I did cook the leeks a good 10 minutes, as I wanted them limp. Also added a bit of salt. You could serve this next to anything and it would be good. Also a very pretty color combo with the pale green leeks and carrots. Rarely have I seen my husband put away so many veggies in one sitting. I served with Toolie's Roast filet mignon de porc with Stilton, which is also excellent, and made a fine dinner!

I cheated and nuked a steam-in-bag veggie medley, then sauted the leeks as directed and tossed all together. Lip smacking good! Thanks so much for posting this recipe.

I love leeks and this was wonderful! Used matchstick carrots so cooked the leeks and carrots together. Quick, simple, and so good!

A quick & easy side dish that went well with grilled ribs & baked taters! Since I'm not partial to mushy veggies, I adhered to your timing & topped off with freshly ground sea salt, black pepper & a sprinkling of fresh parsley. Thanx Toolie!

There is an expression - Simple is best- and this recipe proves it! Just a touch of butter & pepper - great. Three minutes maximam for the carrots and for me i like 4 minutes for the leeks then combine veggies and to ensure they are hot stir fry for a further 2 minutes - perfect. Thanks Toolie for a back to enjoying veggies naturally

Followed Kasha's comments and cooked the leeks a little longer, I used salted butter and lots of fresh black pepper. Served with meatloaf and garlic mashed potatoes, a very nice side dish.
