Such a nice recipe for brussels sprouts. I added a little cayenne pepper along with the black pepper. Will make this one again for sure!

Love this method, have used many times with broccoli, but never brussels. I grew up on steamed brussels (yuk!), and due to that I never make them. This is such a refreshing change! I used walnut oil but didn't bother with the actual walnuts this time, and left out the parm. The other light flavours were perfect. If you're on the fence about trying this....you should!!!

These were a really great addition to my Thanksgiving! The walnut and nutmeg work really well with the flavor of the brussels sprouts, and this was pretty easy to prepare too. Thanks for sharing!

Better than candy! Brussels sprouts are my absolute favorite veggie and this is a whole new spin on them. I loved the theme of "nutty" flavors right down to the nutmeg. The paresan cheese was the perfect garnish for these flavors. I made this just as written. Thanx for sharing!

Love that you dressed up the lowly Brussels sprout with out drowning it in butter, yeah for both you and the Brussels sprout. The nutmeg and garlic play in the back ground, while the Brussels sprouts, walnuts and parmigiano-reggiano cheese dance happily a crossed your tongue. And with such a performance how could your lips do any thing other then smile. Thanks so much for the post.

This is a great change-of-pace from the traditional steamed Brussels Sprouts. I enjoyed these very much. The toasted walnuts really accentuated the sweetness of the vegetables. Thanks for posting this.
