A quick and easy side dish

  1. Bring water to a boil in a large saute pan. Add asparagus and blanch for 2 minutes. Transfer asparagus to a plate and pour off the water.
  2. Melt butter in the pan over medium heat. Add asparagus and saute 1 - 2 minutes, tossing to coat.
  3. Squeese lemon over asparagus; season with salt and pepper.

I steamed my asparagus instead cooking it in water. I then followed the recipe as written. We all enjoyed this as a side dish.
