Evelyn, super! I had expected this to be very simular to the fried apples from Cracker Barrel, but they are not. I did double the sauce and added a little brown sugar to it cause I had some mega sized apples. The sauce got absorbed into the apples and then they browned almost crispy. This was great and very different from what I excepted. Thanks for something I will make again!

Loved this simple recipe and how the natural sweetness of the apples shinned instead of lost in an oversweet sauce. Served it with my favorite Potato pancake recipe. My hubby deemed the combo perfect. Thanks for sharing.

This was perfect. I used Braeburn apples and a smidge of honey instead of the sugar. Also, I added some Vietnamese cinnamon...de-licious.

I had some Gala apples and wanted to try this with some pork chops. What a treat! They turned out so pretty and flavorful! I used Jack Daniel's Whiskey in place of the water, just for fun. These browned to a beautiful deep gold and were a great accompaniment to the pork chops. Thanks, Evelyn!

These were very good. I did add more sugar and thickened the sauce that was left (very juicy apples) Thanks for a yummy recipe...I'll have to try and crisp mine up like Laurie next time.
