- 1⁄2 cup honey
- 1⁄4 cup vinegar
- 2 tablespoons ground mustard
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1 lb Polish sausage, cut bite size
- Mix honey, vinegar, mustard and salt.
- Saute sausage bites until browned.
- Add honey mixture and simmer for 2 minutes.
I can see these being a hit at a tailgate party. The hubby raved over the sweet- tangy flavor. I want to try them in the crockpot. I think the sauce would lend do well. I used dry mustard powder, white vinegar, and added onion flakes along with a pinch of garlic powder. The sauce is thin. Thank you for sharing the recipe.
Super easy to make. Tastes pretty good. Nice balance sweet and tangy. I would try adding 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper or hot curry next time. Thanks.
