Grrreeaattt stuff Claudia!! I had to make quite a few changes/additions based on product on hand, but this was amazing!!! I had to make a "cream soup" base because I didn't have any.... this entailed making a roux, adding chicken broth granules to soy milk and simmering that for a while. There is lactose intolerance here so I didn't do the cheese. Broccoli was on major sale this week so I had a lot and I broke up florets and put it all over the top and then sprinkled progresso bread crumbs all over it and baked that baby as directed. I also diced up carrots and celery in addition to the green pepper. SO, quite a bit of changing and re-arranging, but your concept was there and I loved it!!! Thanks so much Claudia!
Very nice! I had to use up some fresh mushrooms, so I added them insteaad of the canned and I also increased the amount of green pepper to an entire one. :)
Made this as a side dish for a corporate pot luck - everyone loved it! Thank you!
Very tasty! I made a few adjustments, using cream of brocoli and left out the mushrooms since dd and I REALLY dont like mushrooms. Turned out great! Not a single left over which is always a plus for me. :) Thanks for a good one!
I halved the recipe for the 2 of us. I used maple flavored breakfast sausage, about 10 ounces, and cut them up into 1" pieces after they were cooked. I had 1/2 can of celery soup that I wanted to use up so I used that and 1/2 of a 10 ounce can of sliced mushrooms, we like mushrooms. Used about 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese. Baked for 30 minutes. It was delicious and I will make this again, thanks for posting.
I needed to come up with dinner in a real hurry and found this one. It took no time at all to prepare, and I had all the ingredients on hand, and it was so tasty! I served this with my Green Beans with Cherry Tomatoes...a perfect match. Thanks so much for sharing this great recipe, Claudia Dawn. It's a keeper for sure.
