I made this recipe on " Super Bowl Sunday ( 2-7-10 ) ", for our dinner and to support the " New Orleans Saints ". As I was reading the recipe, I thought " With both brown sugar and corn syrup it's going to be really sweet ", but I went ahead and made the recipe as it was written. And to my pleasant surprise, it wasn't all that sweet at all. :) . As a matter of fact, it was very good and will be made again. Thanks for posting and, " Keep Smiling :) "

Ingredients Nutrition


  1. In a large skillet, saute the onion, green or red pepper and garlic in oil onion is crisp tender.
  2. Stir in the remaining ingredients.
  3. Pour into a greased 13x9 baking pan.
  4. Cover and bake at 350 for 15 minutes.
  5. Uncover; bake 10-15 minutes longer or until liquid is absorbed and the rice is tender.
