This is one of the Zaar recipes that I adopted. I hope to prepare this one soon and will post any modifications that I make to the recipe.
- Combine all ingredients and shape into balls the size of walnuts.
- Bake on papered sheet pan at 300 degrees F. in the convection oven for 15 minutes. Turn after pan 7 minutes.
- defrost and reheat at 350 degrees F.
This one is in Charlotte's book too. Glad I didn't have to retype! Her version calls for 10 oz cheddar cheese, grated, but doesn't suggest freezing. It specifies 20-30 minutes in a regular 350* oven.
Tasted great but 3 cups of bisquick was a bit much. Next time I will add less bisquick to the sauseage. I will also let the shreeded cheese sit ou to soften before adding it. Other than that great recipe thnks for posting!
Mine were a little larger in size, and I added a teaspoon or so of dried rosemary to the mix. Tasted great, the next time I may add a little dried dill to see how it changes the flavor. The 3 cups of bisquick adds more texture, I could have added more cheese, 10oz was barely enough, but we like cheese.
