Sausage and Perogy Slow Cooker Meal

"This is a modification of a recipe in one of my slow cooker books. I switched out the potato for perogies. It can be started in the early afternoon and be ready for dinner time."

  • 1 (16 ounce) ring garlic sausage
  • 907 g potato and cheddar pierogies
  • 1 (284 ml) can cream of celery soup
  • 1 (284 ml) can cheddar cheese soup
  • 12 cup onion
  • salt and pepper

directions

  • Cut the sausage into thin slices.
  • In the slow cooker assemble in this order: 1 can cheddar cheese soup, garlic sausage, perogy, onion, garlic sausage, perogy, onion, 1 can cream of celery soup.
  • Set slow cooker to high for approx 4 - 5 hours.
  • Do not stir but occasionally unstick sausage or perogies from the side.
  • Serve hot, salt and pepper to taste, and enjoy.

I cook ( other than regular meals ) for fun and when the mood moves me. I enjoy baking but where I live and maybe due to the oven I really suck at baking cookies. Christmas is my favortie time of year for making yummy things but summer is the best season of all as I try to BBQ everything I can. I am pretty new to making pies but have found a great recipe here called Moms Souper Easy Pie Pastry. My goal is to get my daughter to eat actual food other than just spaghetti!! lol
