I'm not staring this recipe because I used it as a base idea and then turned it into healthy biscuits and gravy. I made the gravy using the milks, onion flakes, garlic powder, marjoram, flour, salt and pepper. When the gravy was almost ready I added Yves Ground Round (veggie meat). I did need to add a tsp of cornstarch to get it to my desired thickness. This made a delicious brekkie that was easy and quick to make. It was wonderful to have "back home" food without all the fat and calories.

The only drawback to this recipe is that it is a "plan ahead" type meal. I had to remember to make the meat the night before! I used regular ground turkey and drained the fat. I thought 1 tsp of dried minced onions was not much, so I used 1/2 tsp onion powder and added some dried in with the browning. First time we made it my 13 yod made it unsupervised and used condensed milk! The evap. is much better! Made with kluski type noodles. The kids gobbled it down. Thanks so much!

Very nice lower-fat gravy. i seasoned and refridgerated the meat overnight as directed. The only change I did make was to the final gravy - we needed a bit more spice/seasoning for that part to suit our tastes so I added dried onions, cajun/creole seasoning, garlic and black pepper. Nice flavor and we relly liked the turkey - it is something we make as a hamburger gravy alternative. Thanks for posting a great recipe!!!

First, I'd like thank everyone who reviews my recipes. I can't thank each of you personally although I try.

I Live in central Virginia, 5 miles from where I grew up, w/ my Husband of 17 years and my beautiful daughter. She is 10 and is the joy of my life. We waited for a long time to be blessed with a child and it is the best thing I've ever done. Be a mother.

I love to cook. We eat very healthy, after a life altering experience at 31 I've been on a journey to be healthy and lose weight. I've lost 50 lbs and have kept most all of it off for the last 9 years. There are always fluxs, durring stressful times, but I've mananged to keep most of the weight off. My best advice to anyone trying to lose weight is to remember that it didn't get there overnight and it won't come off overnight. I've never said I was on a diet. It is a lifestyle.

When Zaar first changed to Food I took a short hiatus. I was going thru a very hard time in life and was completely unmotivated to do anything and thus gave up my hosting duties on Holiday Tag. But now with a new perspective I'm hoping to get back to cooking and tagging.
