This was a quick and easy lunch and a great way to use up some turkey sausage that I had from last night's grilled pizzas. I could see how this recipe could be a kid-pleaser. I have plenty of leftovers for DH's and my lunch tomorrow. Thanks. Made for ZWT7
We really liked this dish; the flavours mixed together nicely and it was quick to make. I used turkey sausages and cut back the recipe back by 1/3 and there was still a generous serving for 4 people. I used the fresh tomato option which I loved because I like pasta dishes that are not too saucy. Made for ZWT & by Food.Commadoes
I prepared this recipe tonight, it was pretty good, my kids LOVED it, but I felt it needed something like some more salt, but I am a salt lover. Will definitely make this again, a great quick family pleasing meal!!
Oh this was so yummy Parsley!!! I am always making adjustments to recipes but I didn't to this one because it was perfect as is!!!! the only thing I did was minus 1 tbl spoon of oil and add mozzarella to the final finish! I used jalapeno kielbasa from Walmart, it was what I had and it turned out perfect. SO GOOD I had to share it on the food blog!!! wish I could give more than 5 stars http://rockinldschefs.blogspot.com/ THANK YOU
Very yummy! Made it with whole grain pasta and zucchini. Will make again. Thanks!
I made this recipe on 6/13/09 for the " Hot, Spicy, & Tasty " event, and also for mine and SO's dinner.Since there was just us two the recipe was cut in half. I did have to make a couple of changes due to what I had on hand. They were as follows, instead of the italian sausage, smoked was used. And I had a can of diced tomatoes that already had onions and peppers in it. Other than those changes the recipe was made as it was written. My SO and both thought it was "just o.k. " . But, I will say that it was a very quick and easy recipe to throw together. Thanks for posting and, " Keep Smiling :) "
Superb for such quick meal. I added fresh basil and extra garlic. I also stirred in cheese to combine the flavors well. For ZWT.
Very good, quick and easy. I scaled by 1/2, used fresh roma's and a 1 lb tube of Jimmy Dean Italian sausage. Didn't use the green pepper as I didn't have it. Also didn't use the olive oil, just left a bit of the sausage grease. I replaced the parmesan with just a sprinkle mozzarella, as that is all I had. When I make it with can tomatoes I will drain them. Thanks for posting!
Great recipe for the weeknight. Lots of flavor and the dish looks really pretty :)
I found this very similar to my "Cheesy Sausage Casserole" It was a interesting change to add tomatoes though. I did find that 2 cans of tomatoes was too much though. My DH loved it though cause I'm not a big fan of canned tomatoes, so I never cook with them.
