I found this in a VFW booklet and it really sounded good, haven't tried it yet, but will. I have always like sauerkraut with hot dogs or sausage
- 1 (16 ounce) jar sauerkraut, drained
- 1⁄2 cup finely chopped celery
- 1⁄2 cup finely chopped green pepper
- 1⁄3 cup grated carrot
- 1⁄2 cup finely chopped onion
- 1⁄4 cup sugar, to your taste
- Combine all of the above and cover.
- Place in refrigerator overnight.
- Good with hot dogs, sausages.
