For the cake
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1⁄2 cup evaporated milk
- 1⁄2 cup water
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups cranberries, chopped

For the sauce
- 1 cup butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup evaporated milk
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
directions
- For the cake:.
- Mix all ingredients together.
- Spread evenly in a greased 9x13 pan and bake at 350 F for 20-25 minutes.
- For the sauce:.
- Mix all sauce ingredients together.
- Stir over medium heat until it reaches a full boil.
- Boil for three minutes.
- Serve while it's warm!

With luck I have frozen cranberries t last me throughout the yeat, so I delved into my stash to make this great tasting, easily prepared cake! The only change I made was in the sauce, to which I added 2 tablespoons of finely chopped dried cranberries ~ What can I say but that I really love those tart red berries! your cake was wonderful & a great treat for just the 2 of us, although another time I MIGHT make it for company!
