I made this in the crockpot and cooked on low for about 8 hrs. My husband says he doesn't like it in tomato sauce, but my daughter really enjoyed it, hence the 4 stars. I'm sure a tomato affecionado would love this! Thanks Rita!

My family like this very much. I will reduce the tomato paste next time. I liked pounding meat in the bag. Meat was very tender. I will be making this again. Thanks Derf.

I enjoyed the recipe very much. It pretty much followed the recipe as directed, except I used a chuck steak instead of the round steak. I loved the blend of flavors, but think maybe I will leave off the peppers next time, but that is just a personal preference. The recipe is great just as it is!!!!! Thanks for this keeper.

Terrific and tender way to get your lycopene (antioxidant in the tomato sauce). Great technique for tenderizing meat. It certainly works. I skipped the bacon but otherwise followed the recipe using the crockpot. I loved it with mashed potatoes. I'm freezing the extra sauce to use later on pasta or to top some chops. Great comfort food, Derf.

Super....Fantastic, easy & full of flavor....comfort food describes it to a 'T'....I will confess to reducing the cajun spice to half the amount because I order mine from a small company & I get their kicked-up style...but the end result was right on for fine taste & a nice bite....
