My Mom developed this recipe to replace the stuff in a box. It's healthier, using whole grain bread, less salt, and fresh vegetables. Multiply X 8 to serve a crowd, and make sure your pan is large enough! You may substitute corn bread cubes for all or part of the bread.

  1. Saute vegetables and apple in butter, in medium saucepan.
  2. Add chicken stock, poultry seasoning, and parsley.
  3. Heat to boiling, simmer 5 minutes. Remove from heat.
  4. Add bread cubes and toss with fork until just moistened. Cover saucepan, set aside in a warm place for at least 15 minutes before serving.
