Loved it. Apples and pork always go together. I used chopped apples and drizzled the apricot preserves on top. Panko bread crumbs are available in Bulk Food Stores in case you can't find them in the grocery store. Definitely another favorite for my recipe binder.

Made this for just 2 of us, so I cut the recipe in half & had an extra chop that I sliced up for a couple of pork sandwiches the next day! A very, very tasty meat & fruit combo that we both enjoyed! I did chop the apples, but another time I'd enjoy making these for company & then, I'd go with the apple halves! I would have rated this a 5 but we hated the soggy panko. I used pork steaks and gala apples. We loved the idea of half an apple each and the apricot preserves was a nice addition. I plan on making this often without the panko (it doesn't need it) because it really looked impressive on the plate and tasted great. Thanks for the nice recipe and good luck in the contest.
