This is a delicious breakfast treat that I make on special occassions or just because! It is very rich, but is soooo good. The recipe itself is from Sara Lee.

Directions

  1. In medium bowl, whisk together eggs, cream or milk, extracts, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  2. Soak pound cake slices in the mixture, making sure all sides and top are saturated.
  3. Soak 5 minutes.
  4. Heat butter in large skillet over medium to medium high heat.
  5. Fry slices until golden brown, turning once.
  6. Dust with powdered sugar, top with either maple syrup (my favorite) or fresh fruit.
  7. Enjoy.
