      I have made this cake three years in a row now. I would highly suggest when frosting to put the icing in-between the layers, refrigerate for about an hour and then frost the rest of the cake to avoid the cake sliding from all of the soft frosting. We really enjoy this cake and it is pretty easy to make. Thanks for posting!

      I made this last Valentines Day for a banquet at our American Legion. I found it in Southern Living-- under another name-- but it's the same recipe :-) It was very good and made quite an impression-- makes 3 very large layers. Very pretty with the red and white marbling.
