This was very tasty, and the next evening we used leftover soup to create a chili with some groundbeef, this is a keeper!

Ingredients Nutrition


  1. Melt butter in a large saucepan; add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  2. Add tomatoes and cook for 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in water, tomato sauce, corn, hot pepper sauce and chili powder.
  4. Bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat; simmer for 10 minutes.
  6. Ladle soup into bowls, garnish with cilantro, avocado, cheese and fried onions.
