Surely a treat that Santa will enjoy when he drops by your house for Christmas. I've not tried this, but figured I'd add it anyway...it comes from an old holiday edition of Southern Living magazine (submitted by Ruth Fulton Tiedemann).

Ingredients Nutrition

Directions

  1. Combine 4 cups milk with cinnamon stick and cloves in a saucepan; cook over medium heat 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. (Heat thoroughly, but do not boil.) Remove and discard cinnamon and cloves.
  2. Combine sugar and cornstarch; add 2 tablespoons cold milk, stirring until smooth. Add to hot milk mixture, stirring constantly; cook 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Ladle into mugs, and sprinkle with nutmeg. Serve immediately.

This is wonderful! You really should try it although I have to say Santa didn't get any of this by the time me and my family got through it. None of my neices like to make anything but after they tasted this they wanted to learn how to make it! They are now mini cooks and I am very happy about it! Thank you for submitting this recipe! It will continue to be shared throughout the generations!
