This is a definite keeper. Made six batches. Reduced the brandy amount by 75% and added chopped apples. No Grenadine or orange flavoured liquer (sp). Used cab or cab mer. No high end fancy red wine in this. Seriously good.
Nothing more refreshing than this Sangria on a hot summer evening! The flavor gets better as you let it sit before serving for at least overnight!
Absolutely terrific! My DH loved it, and all my bunco pals - even the ones who didn't think they liked Sangria - loved this! The only Sangria recipe I will use from now on!
This recipe is amazing!! I made no alterations at all to the recipe. Everyone loved it, and all wanted the recipe! I used Mad Housewife red wine.
Yummmmy I made this for my Scentsy party and all the guests enjoyed it. My neighbor suggested we have a party once a month just for this Sangria!!!!! haha good idea. Thank you so much for this delicious recipe. I loved it as did my guests.
I guess I am just not a big fan of brandy in Sangria.
The best sangria recipe EVER!!!!!!!!!!
This is a wonderful sangria. For me it was perfect even though I used less grenadine. I used the sugar but DH would prefer without sugar next time. He added club soda to his glass to make it less sweet. Thanks Bev :) Made for Name that ingredient tag game
Delicious recipe! Tastes like a cold mulled wine. I omit the orange and lime slices, simply because I don't have a container large enough to accommodate the ingredients. Still tasted yummy!
All I had was a red Pinot Noir (which I could never drink by itself), so I ended up adding a lot more 7-Up, orange juice, and sugar to mask the flavor of the wine. It actually ended up being really good! Next time, though, I want to use something else for the base.
