I have had these burgers dissapear right before my very eyes. Warning, they are hot, but youcan cut out the chilis and add something else. I mark this as a kid pleaser because my kids love them, but they may be too spicy for others. I never measure, so they turn out differently every time, but this is a rough estimate of them. Freeze them individually for 1 hour, then pack them into freezer bags for up to 2 mths. Thaw and BBQ them or fry on the stove top.

Did do a little juggling on the spices here, in that, although I didn't cut back on the recipe as a whole, I did use just 1 teaspoon of oregano & a little less than 2 teaspoons of the dried chilies along with 5 lbs of hamburger! Made sure I had 20 patties & then froze 15 of them for later use! I was fascinated by the flavor that the cinnamon & nutmeg gave these ~ Definitely a winner & a great recipe keeper! Ingredients Nutrition

  • 4 -5 lbs lean hamburger
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 12 tablespoons Tex-Mex seasoning
  • 12 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 14 cup mixed garlic seasoning
  • 1 12 tablespoons crushed dried chilies
  • 12 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 14 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon granulated garlic
  • 5 eggs

Directions

  1. Mix all ingredients together very well with your hands.
  2. Form into approx 20 hamburgers.
  3. BBQ or stove-top grill the burgers to taste.
